Lucky us.

I was so excited when Home Ground moved in 2 doors down from our shoppe.
This cozy little cafe has great drinks, yumm-o soup and lots of great treats (try the biscotti, it's delicious!). No one was more greatful to have our new neighbor than my husband Brian. Becuase of my morning sickness/lack of sleep, Brian has found himself opening up our store every morning for the past couple of months. And when he arrives each morning (already 10 minutes late) he puts up a "Back in 5 minutes" sign and goes next door to get a coffee.
This morning, when he went to pay for his coffee, he was told it had already been taken care of. Someone (someone lovely) had paid for his coffee anonymously before he came in. He was elated.
Thank-you to whomever it was. You made his day and thus made mine.

New.

Clear Albums & acrylic Shapes from Pageframe Designs (a Canadian company!)
We love the 4x4" and 5x8" albums. Perfect for decorating with the Hambly transparencies, rub-ons, and bling. The 8" circle album is totally cute too.
Want a quick project? Try the 8" circles, loops or scallops to make hanging "layouts", or put them all together for an album.
Love, love, love these.

2 Great Products, 1 Great Class

If you haven't signed up for the Multiple Picture Pages class on January 21st, then you are missing out on using two (and more!) great new products that have arrived in our store. We love these journalling cards from Making Memories and the chipboard key chains (we used the "Birds" on our layout.) from Maya Road. Get one of each, and use them on the cute layouts we create (with 5 pictures or more!) in Michelle's upcoming class.

...back on track.

Brilliant.
The 20" Flex Ruler from BoBunny is almost too good. Easy to use & does the job. Can't wait to make waves......

A little off topic...

Since Day One of my pregnancy I have been "off" beef. I've tried roast beef, burgers and tacos. But my stomach wasn't having any of it. I was temporarily Oprah-ed. So imgaine my suprise this morning when I woke up & all I could think was "I sure would like a BIG JUICY CHEESEBURGER for breakfast!" Breakfast! It's 1pm now, and I have held out all day but my husband Brian is off on his first official "Burger Run". He thinks I have gone mental. Sure there were other cravings in the beginning... fruit shakes, ice cream, anything cold really. But nothing like the sheer desperation I feel for a Cheeseburger at this moment.
So let's hear it ladies... where is the best burger in town?

......brads, chipboard, rub-ons & more. From Doodlebug!
Also look for their D.I.Y. flower bouquet & paper house. Makes a perfect gift.

More New Stuff!

New Phrase Makers from Around The Block are here. And as a retailer, I thought it was such a smart idea (makes cute price tags!). And as a scrapbooker....well, I want to use them on EVERY page. Perfect for adding the date or a name to your page. I love the variety of tags. I love that the ink is available in brown. This is one tool that I think I will get my money's worth.....

New!

The new Jolie Chocolat has arrived from s.e.i.
Come in and check out the papers (Oh the papers! They are beautiful. And glittery, and so girly and sweet!) Plus great matching die-cuts, stickers, alphabets, brads & more. Intended for St.Valentines Day but awesome for all of your little girl layouts. Who doesn't love a great combination of pink & brown? I Love it. Love love love it.

Layout 018

This Guy...by Haley Ross
I love scrapbooking my husband. He is pretty photogenic (at least one of us is!) and he is, in my mind, "the glue" of our family. Plus it helps that I totally love him more everyday. As I was creating layouts to go into my pregnancy album, I realized that all of the pages were about myself or the coming baby. I thought I should incorporate the man I consider "the glue" into the album. And although sometimes I feel like I am doing all the work to get this baby here (I am right?) I know I couldn't do it without the kick ass support of my husband.
Plus, this paper is masculine and has an awesome palette of colors, I was excited to use it.
