It's back!

Probably the cutest camping paper I have ever seen! It sold out fast! But it's back in store (starting Wednesday September 3rd) one more time! Cosmo Cricuts "Mr.Campy" line is totally cute. Check out the double-sided papers, stickers, diecuts (above) & rub ons. Love it.

Layout 030

Walk by Haley Ross
(Double-click to enlarge)
I always take too many pictures at the zoo. But there's something about all of these beautiful animals that just make me click away. I had a lot of photos to fit onto this layout & one that I really wanted to focus on. (I saw humor in a picture of myself (41 weeks pregnant) next to North Americas Largest Mammal.) I am so glad this layout allowed me to fit everything I wanted in, including my journaling. I bet I will copy this layout again & again.
Old Stock? The orange Heidi Swapp chipboard.
Materials: Patterned Paper: Basic Grey; Chipboard Letters: Heidi Swapp

Good Read!

The "sweet pages for babies" section was what grabbed me... But this magazine just rocks. And if your scrapbooking stalled over the summer, this inspiring magazine might just be your kickstart.

Dear Blog,

I sure have missed you.
In fact, it's been so long, when I went to sign on, I had forgotten my password.
Summer is almost gone. It was a good one. We spent most of it at the cabin & I spent every minute of it with Miles. (I even took him swimming!) Now, I need to start scrapbooking all of those memories (while they are still fresh). The class list for September is available in the store, I will send it out on Monday to members. I am so excited to teach my new Wednesday classes. Sign up! You won't be sorry.

I'm back! (For one day.)

I am excited to spend the entire day at my store tomorrow! But also nervous because my son will be there with me all day long. So if anyone would like to come and visit (it's been a long time since I have seen some of you!) I would LOVE the company.
I am planning on scrapbooking as much as possible (I'm taking some of my pre-planned pages with me). If you need a little creative escape, come join me, I'll have a spare table set up in the store (I'll be there until midnight as we have a private crop booked).

Oh no!

Summer is flying by! It's already mid-July, where has the time gone? While some of my friends are trying to entertain their school-aged kids, I am typing as fast as I can before my month old baby wakes up! But I know one thing, NOT very many people are scrapbooking.
___
So here's THE PLAN:
I KNOW I don't get much time to sit down and fire up the Cricut these days. And when a rainy day (like today) comes, I find myself unprepard to scrapbook. My new strategy for the summer is to pre-plan my pages. I took my photos to the store, picked out the matching papers, and filed them away (and maybe a couple embellishments) WITH the photos for that layout. When the rain comes, I'll be ready, and if the projects don't get finished (or even started!) until the fall....I'll be ready to go then. No guilt.
Thanks to Kim who inspired me to have all my "projects/layouts" pre-planned and ready to roll. I envy your organization.
This summer has created some great photos, & therefore great scrapbooking. Here are two of my fav's that will be first on the list "to be scrapbooked".
(Above: Canada Day at Seaman Stadium in Okotoks. A cold beer (finally!) and fireworks! Miles slept right through all the fireworks. Below: Our new hammock at the lake does the job!)

So many reasons...

...to scrapbook.
Having Miles has renewed my love of scrapbooking. Everything he does, there I am with a camera, ready to capture the moment. And then comes the scrapbooking! I am busy picking out paper to scrapbook his first bath, newest onesie and everything in between.

Hot.Hot.Hot.

You can always count on Heidi Swapp to come up with the newest, hottest scrapbook must-have. I love her felt flowers and butterflies. I also like how the colors of her embellishments match her papers so well. I have been using the papers like crazy, they are too cute. And so girly.

New Stuff.

The Bloom line from ki memories is here. In typical ki memories fashion, the colors are bright, bold and the patterns are clean & simple. I love the way all of the papers coordinate so easily. These will make for some great Summer themed layouts.

For those of you who have been giving me heck: I'll have you know, I ordered this before I knew Miles was a boy. I just loved it, and I guess it works out well that I had a baby boy. You'll love it too. The colors are beautiful. And of course, the embellishments (LOVE Fancy Pants ribbon) are totally cute. Must have.
