Layout #263

Beachy by Haley Ross
I am happy for several reasons. Here they are:
1. I have gotten back into a scrapbooking groove. I did about 10 layouts in October. Awesome.
2. I love spending time with my scrapbooking friends. One provides friends for Miles & some daytime relief, another is up for good conversation & even some apple bread (mmmm) and then I have the girls who made a mini getaway possible. <3
3. I discovered this wired ribbon at The Scrap Yard. Love it.
4. I was able to use these super old Heidi Swapp letters. Super old.
4. This Basic Grey paper makes me happy.
5. I love any & all pictures of baby girls in bikinis. Who can resist hose little bellies?
6. My husband captured a great memory I have from this trip to BC.
7. I love Kraft paper. What a great way to start any layout.

Seven is several, right???

Layout #253

i love you
I love these pictures of Molly. I got these little Juicy pants from my friend Trista in a bag of hand-me-downs from her girls (thanks!). They are too cute (and too sexy for a baby?!?!). Either way, I love them, but only have her wear them at home or camping, I don't think little girls need to be walking around with writing on their bums, that's just me. Molly is into everything lately. I can't leave her alone for a moment. Today she ate charcoal from the fireplace....I wish I could say it was the first time. On this day she was all over our charging station, intent on stealing a cell phone. I explained to her that she had to be 12 to have one ;)
Love that I used up some really old rub-ons on this layout, and a big thank you to my friend Jen who traded me that cute Telephone die-cut for...something, I don't remember.
Materials: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Rub-Ons: DCWV; Paper: My Minds Eye; Chipboard: Heidi Swapp; Journaling Spot: October Afternoon; Pen: EK Success Zig Writer.

Hot.Hot.Hot.

You can always count on Heidi Swapp to come up with the newest, hottest scrapbook must-have. I love her felt flowers and butterflies. I also like how the colors of her embellishments match her papers so well. I have been using the papers like crazy, they are too cute. And so girly.

Hello? You rock!

Heidi Swapp finally has 12x12 paper. And it was worth the wait. Thank you Heidi.
Totally trendy.
All matchy-matchy.
(Check out this cute picture below from a trade show!)
Very Cute.
In-store now.

Psssst. Look for matching embellishments. I love the little mirrored die cuts.

Oh Heidi!

I use to dislike Heidi Swapp. I did, because her products were always a little bit tricky to use, and the average scrapbooker just didn't buy them. But she's a smart cookie! Her products are so trendy that you just WANT them. Check out these metallic crown rub-ons. Love.
But...my favourite prodcut of the moment is this variety pack of mini ghost shapes (pictured below). I don't think it gets much better than these. So cute, so easy to use (staple them, paint them, stitch them on....) and you get a little of everything (I love the hearts!). Tell your hubby to RUN to the store to pick these up (and stash them in your stocking), I gaurantee they are going to fly out the door...

Pure Genius!

Before you go putting together your calendar scrapbooks this year (a popular Chirstmas gift!), consider this....... Heidi Swapp makes a calendar that has page protectors that you can insert your finished layouts into. At the end of the year, instead of throwing the calendar away, it turns into a scrapbook by simply rotating the pages. Brilliant! Another option: Next year when mom-in-law asks for another calendar (and she will!) you can just give her inserts to refill this strudy book. It also comes with number stickers for each month.....
I made a calendar for my mother-in-law about 4 years ago. It was a lot of work. I swore I would never do it again becuase who knows where it ended up. But this year, a I am giving her a Heidi Swapp Calendar full of family photos.... knowing that next year, with a new baby, I will likely be making another set of layouts (and saving money on the book!)!
