Layout #140

Me, at 28 by Haley Ross
I do this layout every year before my birthday. This is the fourth time (I wish I had started this tradition when I first started scrapbooking.). It's cool to look back and see how I've changed (or haven't). I did the journaling back in January but finally got the layout together yesterday. The paper I used is about 5 years old... not having the store anymore, I am on a serious scrapbook budget so I'll be using up old stuff a lot more often now.
Materials: Patterned Paper: ki memories; Ribbon & Alphabet Stickers: making memories; Button: Basic Grey; Chipboard flower: Heidi Swapp; Rhinestones: Kaiser Craft.

Layout #138

happy by Haley Ross
I did this layout last week and I was pretty pumped. I like it a lot. The paper is adorable. And I finally put those old chipboard buttons to good use. I always likes the Elsie line from ki memories but found it so hard to use.
Materials: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Patterned & Embossed Paper: ki memories; Flip Flaps:Close To My Heart; Buttons: ki memories; Flocked Rub-Ons & Journal Spot: Heidi Swapp; Embroidery Floss: Bazzill Basics; Pen: Ek Success Zig Writer.

Layout 102

First Haircut by Haley Ross
I finally used this OLD paper from KI memories. I was trying to figure out how to work in the bright colors of the cutting cape. I think it worked out fine. And the little pocket full of hair (although some people are telling me is creepy) turned out well too.
I am obsessed. OBSESSED with the Photo Flip Flaps from Close To My Heart. I used them here again (pictured below) for the extra pictures I took. They are a scrapbookers dream product. If you want to get your hands on these ($4.95 for 15!) Erin Aumack is a CTMH rep and her blog is linked to the left of this page. She'll hook you up.

Materials: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Patterned Paper: KI memories; Chipboard & Stickers: KI Memories; Alphabet Stickers: Colorbok; Photo Flaps: Close To My Heart; Memory Pocket: 3L; Pen: EK Success Zig Writer.

Heads Up by Haley Ross
Oops. This is a bad picture. But the photo on the layout isn't. This is actually one of my favourite days in the history of Miles :) On this day he just lifted his head & decided to play. And I remember being in awe. And so full of love. I must have taken a million pictures, I picked my favourite 6. It was hard.
I used old Chatterbox paper on this layout. OOOOld.
Materials: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Patterned Paper: Chatterbox & KI memories; Rub Ons: KI memories; Chipboard: Bazzill Basics; Alphabet Stickers: Thickers by American Crafts & Doodlebug Designs; Ribbon: May Arts.

Discover Friendships by Haley Ross

I am loving to scrapbook little Hannah. I love it. Finally a chance to use some of this cute girly stuff. Stuff that I bought thinking I would do pages of myslelf and just never did. This page is a little flat for me, but I like the paper and wanted to be able to use it all (double-sided!).
Old Stock? All of it. Every little bit. Woo hoo!

Progress Report

I'm having FUN scrapbooking today. Fun. It's refreshing. And I am pulling out all the stops. The first things I went for today was my collection of rarely used Paint Dabbers from Ranger. I'd forgotten how much I love these things. Easy to use, no mess. Doesn't get any better that this.

This is not my regular scrapbooking style. Maybe thats why its so fun. It was simple & random. And for once, I didn't have to pre-plan it. I just built it as I went. I like it. Why don't I do this more often?

Materials: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Paint: Ranger; Buttons: My Minds Eye & Autumn Leaves; Patterned Paper: K&Co.; Pen: EK Success Zig Writer; Other: Hemp & pebeo 3d puff paint

Silly, Serious, Sweet Miles by Haley Ross

(double-click to enlarge)

Aren't these funny pictures? I took them one afternoon while we were hanging out in bed (one of my favourite things to do). All of these diffrerent moods were captured in a matter of minutes. He cracks me up. I finally used some of the Love Elsie stuff from ki Memories. It's hard to use. Her style belongs in her books, not mine. I also did some flocking (I am getting addicted to flocking...) on the heart. And more puff paint. I am just a multi-media gal today!

Materials: Patterned & Fabric Paper: ki Memories & making memories; Die Cut Strips: Doodlebug; Paint: Heidi Swapp; Alphabet Stickers: American Crafts; Ghost Heart: Heidi Swapp; Flocking: Doodlebug; Staples: making memories; Pen: EK Success Zig Writer; Other: pebeo 3d puff paint

New Stuff.

The Bloom line from ki memories is here. In typical ki memories fashion, the colors are bright, bold and the patterns are clean & simple. I love the way all of the papers coordinate so easily. These will make for some great Summer themed layouts.

For those of you who have been giving me heck: I'll have you know, I ordered this before I knew Miles was a boy. I just loved it, and I guess it works out well that I had a baby boy. You'll love it too. The colors are beautiful. And of course, the embellishments (LOVE Fancy Pants ribbon) are totally cute. Must have.

Layout 021

"B" by Haley Ross
As if! I did this whole layout with only ONE patterned paper. Unreal (for me anyway). But I like how the Softies by ki Memories (my new fav. embellishment???) stand out. I did make a huge boo-boo. I accidentally rubbed off a transfer onto Brian's picture and so I covered it up with the chipboard. I think it worked out ok. And I cut the large scallop by hand (yeah, I know....). I think this whole "Simple Scrapbook" resolution is really working out for me. I have done more pages this year than in all of 2007. And it's February 5th! Love it!
Materials: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Patterned Paper: Scenic Route; Tag Rims: Making Memories; Rub-On: My Minds Eye; Chipboard & Softies: ki Memories; B Embellishment: making memories; Pen: Ek Success; Ribbon: Off of a wedding gift. I really do save everything!

Dare Ya by Haley Ross
I love the new Pop Culture line from ki Memories. I love it all. The chipboard (letters & shapes), the papers (double-sided, so bright & totally coordinate with each other) and the Softies. There are also really sweet Mad-Lib style stickers that I couldn't fit onto the page but I totally love.
This is my sister who is a little shy but the funniest chick in the world (and beautiful). I couldn't wait to scrapbook these pictures. I was so glad A.She let me take them and B. They turned out so well (great lighting!).
Materials: Patterned Paper, Chipboard & Softies: ki Memories; Live Out Loud Patterned Paper: Sweetwater.

New. And too cute!

They're called Softies by ki memories. Accents & buttons. Totally cute.
Betcha' $20 I use one of these on my next layout?
