More New Stuff!

In 3 (Circle, Square & Bracket) shapes, these Mixed Media books from Fancy Pants are a totally cool idea. The pages are made of chipboard, transparency & felt. The book is about 8x8 (big enough to be useful) and I am dying, DYING to have a go at one.

Class!

On September 25th (Thursday at 6:30pm) you can make your own Bucket List!
In case you don't already know, a Bucket List is a list of things you'd like to do before you "kick the bucket". This great mini album (complete with tin bucket front!) is filled with your Top 12. Since I fully intend on sitting in on this class, I've been working on making my list. Here's what I have got so far (in no particular order):
Travel through Egypt
My husband has done this and it makes me green with envy.
Learn to Kayak
Just because.
Watch the winter Olympics live (especially Hockey & Bobsled).
Tickets for Vancouver 2010 go on sale October 3rd, so I might just get my chance!
Become a Sommelier
I've looked into it. Just need that chunk of time.
Go back to Indonesia with Brian & Miles.
I really want them to understand where I grew up.
Live In San Francisco
Even just for a year. I love it there.
Start thinking of your bucket list today! And when you complete the items on your list, there is a space for you to insert your photos. This is going to be a great class!

Project!

Hopes & Dreams Tin Album by Haley Ross

A couple of weeks ago (after I had my maternity pictures taken) I made up this little album with a letter to my baby. Cheesy I know, but I have so much on my mind. And I thought someday the baby might be having it's own child, and be able to relate to all of these thoughts. Plus, I have some letters from my parents (specifically one that my dad gave me when I graduated) and I love re-reading them and I love having their hand writing on paper. Everything seems to be done on computer these days (Guilty as charged!).
The supplies are girly (I don't know the sex), but the letter is from me & I am very girly. I just loved how well everything came together. And the texture of the Crate Paper & Die Cuts are to die for. Love it. Love it. Love it.

Materials: Paper, Die Cuts & Rub-Ons: Crate Paper; Tin Album: Creative Imaginations; Alphabet Stickers: making memories; Pen: EK Success Zig Writer

That Darn Cat!

If you think you're sick of seeing layouts & projects featuring my cat, just wait until I have a baby...
Everyone will be muttering "there's that Ross kid again....".
I LOVED this project. The transparent pages and accents all came together in a kit by Fancy Pants called Bracket Book & More. Love it. I completed the whole thing in about 2 hours (it's in the store if you'd like to have a peek inside). I usually choose a theme with mini albums (Black & White for this one) because it makes things so easy. Easy. Plus: Mini albums can be made with very little paper. I used ONE 12x12 piece of cardstock and ONE 12x12 patterned paper.
What OLD product did I use up (it's my goal to use at least one OLD thing on each page/project)? The ribbon. There is no shortage of ribbon in my stash. Even after making this book I struggled to fit it all back in the jar. Shhhh. Don't tell Brian.

Materials: Book Kit & Transparencies: Fancy Pants; Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Patterned Paper: making memories; Stickers & scalloped ribbon: American Crafts; Tiny Alphas; making memories; Ribbons: ki memories, making memories, May Arts.

New.

Clear Albums & acrylic Shapes from Pageframe Designs (a Canadian company!)
We love the 4x4" and 5x8" albums. Perfect for decorating with the Hambly transparencies, rub-ons, and bling. The 8" circle album is totally cute too.
Want a quick project? Try the 8" circles, loops or scallops to make hanging "layouts", or put them all together for an album.
Love, love, love these.

Cute!

This cute chipboard album from Maya Road is a great little stocking stuffer. All you need is glue & a sanding block & this album will be totally cute.... Put it on your wishlist or pretty it up for someone you love.

mm Noteworthy 3-ring binders are here. Finally a binder-style album that's cute (not with gold embellishments!)

I've been Scrapbooking!

I realized that the Hambly products that I posted online DID NOT do them any justice. This stuff is fabulous! So I'm posting the mini album I made yesterday (a gift to my girlfriend Jules) on here to show you just how wonderful these papers/acetates/rub ons are.

The cover and every second page are made with the Clearly Heavy Overlays. Love them. Sturdy & crystal clear. There are some complimenting acetates mixed in there (I was instantly in love with the chandeliers the minute I saw them!)

I thought it might be a little hard working with exposed backgrounds (I am a little picky) but it wasn't at all. The key is having great "croppable" pictures.

I did my journaling on the computer and chopped up the pieces.

I'm so happy with it. In fact, I might not give it to her because I like it so much. It only took a couple hours to make, so I see another one in my future!

Materials: Pages: Hambly Studios Clearly Heave Overlays, screen & shimmer papers; Rub Ons: Hambly Studios; Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Ribbon: May Arts; Chipboard & Paints: Heidi Swapp; Rhinestones: My Minds Eye; Binder Ring: Office Supply

New Stuff!

The new products from Sweetwater are great. The mini clip albums (pictured above) make great a brag book (a good Christmas gift!) there are four different styles & matching In The Loop die-cuts! Check these out, they are packaged in CD cases (so smart!) and you get a bunch of great loopy die-cuts which would be great as frames or just on their own as embellishments.

Just when I thought I was OVER twill.... apparently I am not! I love love love this Sweetwater twill (can you say Polka Dots?). There is matching paper in four different lines & if you have little boys (always a scrapbookers challenge....) then hurry down to check out the CUTE papers.

New ( I love that word!)

I have just received the Travel, Tropical & Funky Vintage Lines from making memories. These lines were put out in the Spring but I put off ordering them until now so that they would be around for our busy fall season.
The winners? I love the 6x9 albums. (Pictured above in red.) They are a perfect gift size, and would be fabulous for a mini vacation album. Plus, they match all of the new goodies. And, they are flocked, so they feel wonderful. They are available in 6 different styles for $14.99ea.

I also like these journaling tags from the Travel & Tropical (pictured above) lines. Smart! I never did scrapbook our trip to Hawaii a couple years ago, because I didn't like the selection of tropical papers available then. These toned down tags (papers, stickers, flowers, & more) will be perfect. Can't wait!
